Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join a dynamic IT team for an esteemed bank. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into functional specifications, collaborating closely with stakeholders, and supporting the development of technology solutions that drive trading, risk management, and market data operations.

Mandatory Skill-set:

  • Must have 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial domain, particularly in Market Data administration;
  • Must have strong knowledge of capital markets and financial instruments such as FX, Bonds, Rates, Equities;
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel and experience in data analysis or manipulation using Python or R;
  • Understanding of static market data and experience working with data providers like Bloomberg and Refinitiv;
  • Ability to document user stories, functional specifications, and process flows;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skill-set:

  • Understanding of UML diagrams and BDD practices;
  • Exposure to cloud environments and object-oriented programming;
  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicit and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional and technical specifications;
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to break down features into user stories and prioritize them effectively;
  • Provide guidance to development teams on business processes and functional expectations;
  • Support software design discussions and align solutions with system architecture;
  • Conduct functional testing and support post-deployment validations;
  • Assess impacts of functional changes on SLAs and OLAs;
  • Identify reusable internal or external solutions to meet business needs;
  • Support deployment planning and execution, including prerequisite validation;
  • Create workload estimates, test scenarios, and maintain documentation;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
