Job Title:

Part-Time Video Editor (Rush Media – In-House Channels)

Job Brief:

Rush Media is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Video Editor to work on our in-house channels, including Rush Kini, Rush Daily, Racun Daily, and Rush Gizmo. You will be responsible for editing engaging, high-quality videos that align with each channel’s brand identity and audience. This role is ideal for editors who can work efficiently, adapt to different content styles, and bring creative ideas to enhance storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing & Post-Production
  • Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging final content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Add subtitles, graphics, animations, and sound effects to enhance viewer experience.
  • Ensure pacing, audio quality, and visuals meet Rush Media’s quality standards.
  • Content Optimization
  • Adapt editing style for different platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Create attention-grabbing hooks and thumbnails when required.
  • Creative Input
  • Work with content creators and producers to suggest creative improvements.
  • Experiment with trending formats and editing techniques.
  • File Management
  • Organize and maintain project files for easy reference.
  • Ensure all final exports follow the required format and resolution.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Good sense of pacing, music selection, and visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube content styles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in social media content editing is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the creative team.

Payment & Work Terms:

  • Pay per video: RM35 – RM50 depending on skill level and experience.
  • Flexible work arrangement (remote editing + occasional office meetings at Dataran Palma, Ampang).
  • Payment is made upon project completion and approval.
  • Opportunities for long-term collaboration and skill development.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RM400.00 - RM800.00 per month

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

Work Location: Remote
