We are looking for a freelancer based in Malaysia to visit targeted stores as below.
The purpose is to collect information on IMPORTED products and POPULAR products in Malaysia.
This role involves taking clear photos of products in the below mentioned stores, and entering the collected data into a Google Spreadsheet document and Google Drive.
*We will share the Google Spreadsheet and Google Drive links later.

■REQUIRED STORE VISIT LIST FOR MALAYSIA
*Must be able to visit 1 of each store:

■TASK (What to do)
【STEP 1】Visit local stores listed above and find 7 IMPORTED products (7 brands) and 3 most POPULAR products in Malaysia (3 brands and no need to be imported for popular products) from the following categories:
・Processed foods (like Canned food, cheese, Breakfast cereal, Pre-seasoned frozen vegetables, Instant noodles, Ham and sausages, Retort curry (ready-to-eat curry pouch) etc.)
・Alcoholic beverages (Only alcoholic beverages allowed. Tea and other drinks are not permitted.)
・Snacks
・Kitchen & Cleaning products
・Skin care and Hair care
・Supplements
*Category may vary depending on the store, please check the Google Sheet.
*If you have any questions about the specified products, please feel free to contact us immediately.
【STEP 2】For each category, take photos of the 7 IMPORTED products (7 brands) and 3 most POPULAR products in Malaysia (3 brands and no need to be imported for popular products)
* The photo must be clearly readable because we want to be able to check the importers/distributor’s information on the back of each product.
*For 3 most popular products in Malaysia, you can choose the products you think is the most popular, and it's also fine to ask the store staff.
●Type of photos required:
・1 Product photo of the front
・1 Product photo of the back
・1 Shelf photo (*1 photo per category per store (Ex: 6 categories = 6 photos)
・1 photo of outside the store
・1 photo of inside the store
【STEP 3】Enter the following details into a Google spreadsheet
・Product Name is column C
・Importer/Distributor Name in Column D (must be clearly visible in photos)
・Website in column E
・Price in column F
* If the importer/distributor website is not on the package, search the company online and add it to the sheet. Only leave it blank if you still could not find it.
【STEP 4】Upload the photos to the Google Drive Folder
・1 Product photo of the front ➡︎ inside the category folder
・1 Product photo of the back ➡︎ inside the category folder
・1 Shelf photo (*1 photo per category per store (Ex: 6 categories = 6 photos) ➡︎ inside the category folder
・1 photo of outside the store ➡︎ inside the shop name & "Store Front/Inside" folder
・1 photo of inside the store ➡︎ inside the shop name & "Store Front/Inside" folder
*We have already included the links to the folders where the photos should be uploaded in the Spreadsheet. Please upload the photos to the corresponding links.

■IMPORTANT CONDITION
For imported products, please avoid brands whom both manufacture and distribute/import (example: Coca Cola, Unilever, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Colgate, PepsiCo, P&G, L’Oréal products etc. are manufactured and distributed/imported in-house, so we want to avoid those because they only distribute their own brands)
■BUDGET
Please check the budget.
Price negotiation is not acceptable. If we are satisfied with you work this time, we would be pleased to hire you again with higher budget!
*The budget is based on the amount for 100% completion (Completely matches our request, conditions and criteria). Please be aware that if the task is abandoned midway or something like that, there may be no payment.
■DEADLINE
【STEP 1】All of the above tasks should be completed by Monday, August 11.
【STEP 2】We will review the submitted content on our side. Please complete any necessary revisions/corrections by August 19. Please note that if the information and photos do not match our request/criteria/conditions, we will ask you to retake the photos or search for alternative products accordingly.
*If any further revisions/corrections are needed, you will continue working until the task is completed. However, if we determine that further work is not possible, payment will only be made for the approved items.

- Based in Malaysia and able to visit the stores mentioned
- Owns a smartphone or camera with good photo quality
- Basic knowledge of Google Sheets for data entry
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Strong Sense of Responsibility
