It supports various teams and functions across Delta and is an integral part of our transformation agenda, working seamlessly with a global team to create memorable experiences for customers.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide technical leadership and coaching to team members</li><li>Build industry standard APIs, Integration Design Patterns and provide insight into establishing, consuming & routing messages, connectivity protocols and policy. </li><li>Drive, influence, and support API quality standards</li><li>Establish a culture of software craftsmanship best practices, including Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment</li><li>Engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and hackathons</li><li>Working with multi cloud software architectural patterns (AWS, Salesforce).</li><li>Develop efficient and effective software using Java, Spring Boot, 12-factor compliant Microservices, RESTFul APIs, Apigee, JBOSS, Cassandra for Cloud / OpenShift platform</li><li>Familiarity with the Salesforce cloud platforms, services, tools and technologies</li><li>UI design and development </li><li>Agile, Test Driven Development (including Test Automation).</li><li>Ensure adherence to and compliance with PCI rules and regulations</li><li>Ensure that the technical solutions meet the customers' business goals and that customer satisfaction with the project and conclusion is high.</li><li>Coordinate activities with internal / external technology owners / service providers.</li><li>Consult within project team and other Delta teams, with outside vendors or consultants to ensure project or product integrity</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED</strong></p><ul><li>The Engineering Leader position requires a BS / MS degree in a technical or scientific field with 12+ years of overall relevant experience.</li><li>10 or more years of experience in Java application development</li><li>3 or more years of experience developing with RESTful web services</li><li>3 or more years of experience with SQL or NoSQL DBMSs (Cassandra, Mongo DB)</li><li>2 or more years of experience with SDE (TDD, Automation, Agile, and DevOps).</li><li>2 or more years of experience working with a cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Salesforce) </li><li>3 or more years of demonstrated technical leadership skills </li><li>3 or more years of managing a team of technical professionals</li><li>5 or more years of experience in roles that require strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills</li><li>5 or more years of experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Java internals, JVM tuning, and troubleshooting.</li><li>Experience working on Spring Boot Framework, Microservices, RESTful APIs, Apigee, JBOSS or other containers, No-SQL (e.g. Cassandra). </li><li>Expertise with Angular - Preferred, HTLM, CSS, and JavaScript – required.</li><li>Experience with Salesforce development STRONGLY recommended.
