Remote back-end Node.js/RabbitMQ developer jobs ID-4097

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Execute software engineering best practices for testing, deploying, and developing code
  • Design, build & manage micro-services and backend APIs for high traffic applications
  • Analyze user requirements and generate technical specifications
  • Install, configure, and administer RabbitMQ on multiple environments
  • Implement clustering, security, and set up virtual hosts, exchanges, and queues
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders
  • Write and run unit tests, system integration tests, and load tests for the application features/APIs

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of back-end development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Hands-on experience in Node.js, and its frameworks such as Express, StrongLoop, etc.
  • Proficiency in RabbitMQ, Kafka, and cloud services
  • Thorough understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns
  • Knowledge of microservices and backend APIs
  • Proficient with database schema designing, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting
  • Expertise in deploying applications in AWS cloud or Docker
  • Experience with different messaging styles like pub-sub and messaging APIs, including REST, STOMP, JMS, AMQP, etc.
  • Fluency in English language for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Strong knowledge on message oriented middleware concepts
  • Knowledge of monitoring alarms, troubleshooting and migration of RabbitMQ
  • Experience with Java/JEE development
  • Ability to follow agile development practices with continuous integration
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
