Your role

The Internship Programme offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the practice of law in a highly professional environment. It is designed to provide an inspiring experience, develop leadership attributes in young adults and assist them in realising their full potential.

  • Engagement Process
    • An intern’s performance will be assessed and evaluated throughout the Internship period based on, but not limited to: written reports and briefs, presentation, comportment, and ability to work within teams and independently. The intern will also be required to conduct legal research and make presentations on topics assigned to him/her. In addition, a mentor will be assigned to the intern, to whom the intern will submit a daily report of work done. Depending on the intern’s performance, the Firm may issue an official letter of recommendation based on an Intern’s request.
  • Professional Expectation
    • Interns are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and in all aspects of their work assignments. They are required to be punctual and complete assignments within the timeframe specified by their supervisor or any other lawyer. Interns are expected to respect and maintain confidentiality with all information and data they may encounter during their internship with the Firm. Upon completion of the Internship program, Interns must return all properties belonging to the Firm.

Training & development

During the internship, your performance will be assessed and evaluated throughout the period based on, but not limited to: written reports and briefs, presentation, comportment, and ability to work within teams and independently. You will be assigned a mentor to whom you will submit a daily report of work done. Depending on your performance, the Firm may issue an official letter of recommendation based on an Intern’s request.

About you

The Undergraduate Internship program is for candidates currently pursuing a university degree. The prospective candidate must have completed at least the first year of university in the study of law.

Eligibility

  • Have an equivalent of second-class upper degree grade in Law (CGPA of 3.5 or higher)
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Internship duration is for a minimum of four (4) weeks
