Job Summary
What you'll be doing:
šRecord-keeping: A crypto trading and options accountant must keep accurate records of all cryptocurrency trading and options trading transactions, including purchases, sales, transfers, and other related activities. šTax compliance: Crypto trading and options accountants must ensure that all tax obligations related to cryptocurrency and options trading are met, including preparing and filing tax returns, calculating tax liabilities, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws. šTrading analysis: A crypto trading and options accountant must analyze financial data related to cryptocurrency and options trading transactions and provide insights into financial performance, investment opportunities, and risk factors. šRisk management: Crypto trading and options accountants must identify and mitigate potential risks associated with cryptocurrency and options trading, such as market volatility, fraudulent activity, theft, and cybersecurity threats. šRegulatory compliance: Crypto trading and options accountants must ensure that all cryptocurrency and options trading transactions comply with applicable regulatory requirements, such as anti-money laundering laws and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations. šStakeholderās service: also able to provide advice and support to clients on various cryptocurrency and options trading-related issues, including investment strategies, tax implications, and risk management. šLiase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
What we're looking for:
šBachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional certificate. šRelevant experience in TradFi, Crypto or equivalent environment šExperience working on Derivatives, Trading Product lines and equivalent šGood knowledge of local accounting GAAP, Certified Public Accountant is a plus. šExperienced and knowledgeable of accounting software, payroll procedures, and management systems. šIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Table, SUMIF, etc.) is compulsory. šMust be a team player, take full ownership of your work, empathetic and open-minded. šWell-organised, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills.
