Job Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, including tasks such as chopping vegetables, measuring spices, and portioning ingredients according to recipes.
  • Dishwashing: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, kitchen utensils, and cooking equipment to ensure they are ready for use in meal preparation.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Support for Chefs: Assist chefs in executing recipes, prepping ingredients, and keeping the kitchen operational during busy hours.
  • Inventory Management: Help monitor kitchen inventory, ensuring supplies are properly stored and that items are replenished as needed.
  • Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols, to ensure the safety of all food prepared and served.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: No formal education is required, but a high school diploma, diploma in hospitality, or culinary degree is an advantage.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or a related field is preferred. Entry-level applicants with a strong interest in cooking and kitchen operations may also apply.
