Library Assistant (Contract) ID-6008

Job Scope:

To provide administrative support, library and information services to staff and students.

 

The duties and responsibilities consist of:

- Performing counter services such as loans, reservation and handling of patron’s enquires/ requests

- Shelving of returned items and shelf-reading of existing library materials

- Maintaining the order and tidiness of the library e.g. roving duty

- Processing of library materials such as call no. labelling, weeding of library materials, etc.

- Providing logistical support for events such as setting up projector, arranging tables and chairs

- Taking up any other duties assigned such as design simple posters using PowerPoint, Canva - for library notices and promotion of library events.

- Opening/closing of the library

-Displaying of books to generate loans

- Any other duties assigned

 

Requirements:

- Basic knowledge of MS Office applications

- Able to work independently with customer service mindset

 

Working hours: Mon - Thu - 8.30 am to 6.00 pm Fri - 9.00 am to 6.00 pm

Location: Simei / Tanah Merah / Expo

Contract Period: 14 Jul 2025 to 12 Dec 2025

Salary: $12.53 per hour
