Job Description

As an Engineer, in IT Software - Cloud, you will be a key member of our technical team, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud solutions. Your expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, and cloud storage technologies will drive the development and operation of our cloud infrastructure, supporting our digital products and services.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, functions, app services, and blob storage.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based applications and services using Azure Functions and App Services.
  • Implement and manage data storage solutions, with a focus on Azure Blob Storage.
  • Utilize Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestrating and automating data movement and transformation processes.
  • Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability, implementing the best practices for cloud resource management.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design cloud-native applications and integrate them with existing systems.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, implementing and managing access controls, encryption, and other security measures.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure management tasks using scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to existing systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members on cloud engineering best practices and methodologies.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Azure and Kubernetes.
  • Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in the airline industry or similar fast-paced environments.


Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including Functions, App Services, Blob Storage, and Azure DataFactory (ADF).
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Knowledge of cloud storage solutions, particularly Azure Blob Storage.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
  • Experience with cloud cost management and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud-related issues.
