<p><strong>Work Location: Port Klang FTZ </strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Customs Executive will be responsible for handling all customs clearance activities, documentation, and compliance for import, export, and transhipment cargo within the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) at Westport. The role ensures smooth cargo movement while adhering to Malaysian Customs regulations, port authority requirements, and internal company policies.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Accountabilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Customs Related Operation</u></strong></p><ul><li>Prepare, submit, and manage customs declarations (K1, K2, K8, ZB, etc.) via DagangNet or other customs systems.</li><li>Ensure accurate HS Code classification, tariff code application, and duty/GST exemptions (if applicable under FTZ).</li><li>Verify shipping documents (BL, Invoice, Packing List, COO, FTA Certificates) to ensure compliance.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>FTZ & Regulatory Compliance</u></strong></p><ul><li>Handle FTZ permit applications, customs bonds, and related approvals.</li><li>Monitor and maintain compliance with FTZ regulations, ensuring timely submission of reports to Customs/Port Authorities.</li><li>Liaise with Port Klang Authority (PKA), Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD), and other government agencies for inspections, approvals, and audits.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Coordination & Communication</u></strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, warehouses, and transport teams for smooth cargo flow.</li><li>Work closely with clients to provide guidance on customs regulations, duty exemptions, and documentation requirements.</li><li>Resolve discrepancies or issues in customs documentation and clearance.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Reporting & Administration</u></strong></p><ul><li>Maintain accurate customs records, declarations, and filing systems for audit purposes.</li><li>Prepare weekly/monthly customs reports and assist in internal/external audits.</li><li>Monitor customs regulations updates and advise management/clients accordingly.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding, preferably in an FTZ environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of the Malaysian Customs Act, FTZ regulations, HS Codes, and DagangNet system.</li><li>Familiar with shipping documentation (Import/Export/Transhipment).</li><li>Good communication and coordination skills with government authorities and stakeholders.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and customs declaration software.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Customs Agent License (if applicable) or knowledge of bonded warehouse operations.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced port/FTZ environment.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Note: The advertised job title is being used for Talent Attraction and job advertisement.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About DP World</strong></p><p>Trade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
